Adaptive Riding Lessons

Our Adaptive Riding Lessons are individualized lessons tailored to each person’s unique physical, cognitive, and emotional needs. We welcome participants of all ages and abilities, including those with autism, ADHD, trauma histories, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and physical limitations.

Through guided interaction with horses, participants experience meaningful benefits such as improved social skills, problem-solving abilities, self-confidence, empathy, and the ability to build trust.

Each 50-minute weekly lesson includes hands-on time grooming and tacking the horse, a mounted riding activity, and often incorporates interaction with the small animals in our barn.

Our programs run for six weeks, with one 50-minute lesson each week. You may enroll in a single program or multiple programs, and each six-week program costs $150. Contact us for additional information, to check availability and request an application.

Our 2026 schedule:

Classroom Program (3 weeks): March 2nd – March 20th
Program 1: March 30th – May 8th

Program 3: July 6th – August 14th

Equine and Animal Assisted Learning

Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) lessons are designed for individuals who can benefit from working with horses but for whom mounted riding is not desired or appropriate due to physical, mental, or emotional reasons.

Each 50-minute weekly lesson typically includes: grooming and interacting with a horse, an unmounted activity in the arena, and time with our small animals (goats, rabbits, and chickens).

Adaptive Driving Program

This program is an option for participants who are unable to participate in our Adaptive Riding Program. Each weekly 50 minute lesson includes time grooming the horse, preparing the horse for driving, and a driving activity.

School Groups

We will tailor a program to accommodate the needs of the students and the goals of the teacher. Each student will receive a riding lesson, interaction in the small animal barn, and interactive outdoor education lesson. (Limited to 12 students)

Field Trips

Field trips are open to larger groups (scouting groups, homeschool co-ops, etc), and include interaction with the horses and small animals, unmounted arena activity, and interactive outdoor education lesson.

School groups and field trips are not subject to the adaptive lesson program schedule. Please contact us for scheduling.
